The Alpha has captured the hearts of the world over and may be the most launched rocket of all time. It’s been used by parents, schools, summer camps and hobbyists all over the world as an introduction into the exciting world of rocketry and aerospace.
The Alpha remains one of the most popular rocket kits because it challenges people in a variety of ways. With it you’ll need to learn proper building techniques, the principles involved in flight, and how to decipher flight results and optimize for future goals.
The Alpha in the Classroom
The Estes Alpha uses a traditional rocketry structure, making it the intermediate kit to level up your rocketry activities. It’s about the experience for the students, and that’s what set the Alpha apart for generations. It’s about showing a young mind what is possible with a STEM-based education and that future is within their grasp.
Take your Alpha out to the launch field and experiment with a variety of engines and compare the altitude!
It’s not just about how the Alpha can touch a student, but also how active rocketry activities can teach in ways that few things can. It doesn’t feel like a school project, it’s not homework. It’s just doing something awesome. They just accidentally end up learning a whole bunch about the world around them. It’s why millions know the Alpha is #1.
Included with this kit
High-Strength Injection-Molded Nose Cone
This high-strength plastic is light enough for flight, but strong enough to survive flight after flight.

Vibrant Decals
Colorful decals that still leave ample space for students to make it their own. The Alpha decals easily stick right onto the airframe and make this rocket pop on the launch pad.
