Overview

The 12 in. (30.5 cm) Printed Parachute is an essential component for classroom rocketry programs and STEM workshops. Designed to make recovery systems simple and reliable, this preassembled parachute provides students with hands-on experience that demonstrates key flight and engineering concepts.

Quick and Easy Setup

Educators love how fast this parachute can be added to a rocket. With shroud lines already attached, there’s no need for extra preparation or tying knots. Students simply thread the lines through the nose cone anchor and loop them back through to secure. It’s a straightforward process that gets rockets flight-ready in minutes.

Built for Classroom Durability

Made from tough, lightweight materials, the 12 in. Printed Parachute is designed to withstand repeated use in group settings. Whether used for demonstrations or individual student flights, it provides consistent performance and dependable recoveries across multiple launches.

Ideal for Learning Recovery Concepts

This parachute is perfectly sized for small rockets that require controlled descents. Students can observe how canopy size affects drag and descent rate, reinforcing core principles of flight stability and recovery. Its gentle landing performance helps protect rockets for reuse, keeping your classroom fleet in top condition.

Perfect for STEM and Youth Programs

From science clubs to summer camps, the 12 in. Printed Parachute adds an engaging, hands-on element to any rocketry lesson. Its reliability, ease of use, and reusable design make it a go-to choice for educators teaching flight, physics, and engineering fundamentals.

They aren't the best thing in the world but they work.

I used this for my riptide rocket the parachute tangles really easily but it can come untangled and aren't that bad slowed my rocket good but when it hit a tree had to cut it down and now a need a new one.
To Estes Can you make a 4 cord not string cord 12 inch with a way to prevent tangling like a swivel or smt?

Nice parachute, but gets stuck on inside of rocket.

I launched it with the Quix rocket but gets stuck 7/10 of the times I launch it.
