A3-6T Engines

The Estes A3-6T mini engine is built for lightweight model rockets that need dependable thrust and a longer delay before recovery deployment. Its six second delay allows the rocket to continue coasting after powered flight, giving students a clear opportunity to observe the transition from boost to apogee before the recovery system activates.

For classrooms, camps, after-school programs, and youth organizations, the A3-6T supports hands-on lessons in motion, force, altitude, timing, and recovery. Because the delay is long enough to make the coast phase easy to see, students can better connect what they observe in the sky with the concepts being discussed before and after launch.
