This kit provides students with hands-on engineering experience as they learn to design rockets, all without the need for a launch field. By exploring key concepts such as center of gravity and center of pressure, students will test their problem-solving skills as they work to build a stable rocket and evaluate it using the Estes Rocket Holder.

The Rocket Stability Kit is the perfect solution for classrooms with launch restrictions or limited space. It includes enough supplies for student groups to build 2-3 rockets, allowing them to test, evaluate, and redesign their designs to improve rocket stability. With 108 different rocket configurations to explore, students are encouraged to think critically and creatively.

A Fun and Educational STEM Experience

The kit provides a unique opportunity for students to experience the excitement of rocketry in a controlled, innovative way. Included with the kit is a FREE lesson plan that challenges students to design and build a stable rocket. Working in groups, students will take on roles such as head of engineering, program manager, and head of manufacturing, fostering essential skills like communication, creativity, and teamwork.

As part of the challenge, students will create a web page for their rocket and present their results, showcasing the concepts they’ve learned. This engaging activity not only teaches the fundamentals of rocket stability but also prepares students for collaborative STEM projects and real-world problem-solving scenarios.
