In The Classroom

Designed for Advanced Learners

The Estes Tech-Pak™ Scratch Build Rocket Kit is crafted specifically for Industrial Technology educators seeking to elevate their curriculum. This is not a beginner kit—Tech-Pak is ideal for high school students or those with prior experience in model rocketry. The hands-on, precision-focused construction process makes it a valuable tool for STEM learning and advanced classroom projects.

Experience the Manufacturing Process

Unlike pre-assembled kits, Tech-Pak guides students through the fundamentals of rocket construction from scratch. They’ll roll their own body tube using gummed paper, cut out card stock fins, and assemble the entire rocket by hand—offering a true glimpse into the manufacturing process. It’s an engaging way to teach both aerospace principles and real-world engineering skills.

Critical Instructions for Success

To ensure proper assembly and launch readiness, it’s essential that students read and follow instructions meticulously. One key detail: the included body tube form must be removed after shaping the tube—if left inside, the engine mount will not fit. Attention to detail is part of what makes this kit such a valuable teaching tool.
