Bring science to life in your classroom with the PocketLab® Voyager 2 Sensor, a powerful all-in-one data collection tool that helps students explore physics, engineering, Earth science, chemistry, and biology through hands-on experiments. This compact sensor packs 14 precision instruments into one device, giving your students the ability to record and analyze real-world data that deepens understanding of key STEM concepts.

Designed for classroom and field use, Voyager 2 connects easily to iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and other Bluetooth 4.0 devices. Stream live data during short-range experiments, or record data to the onboard memory for later download after launches or long-distance tests. A 3D print file for an optional rocket sled is included by email after purchase, allowing teachers or students to print their own holder to secure the sensor during flight. The sensor can also be used without the sled by securing it with foam, wadding, or another suitable material. The sled fits BT-65 body tubes, making it compatible with rockets such as the Green Eggs, Mayhem, and Orbitron.

  • Hands-On Learning: Engage students with real-world data collection and interactive experiments across multiple science disciplines.
  • Cross-Device Compatibility: Works with iOS, Android, Chrome OS, Windows, Linux, and Mac OS devices.
  • Real-Time and Recorded Data: Stream within Bluetooth range or record data for later analysis in PocketLab Notebook.
  • Rechargeable and Classroom-Ready: Up to 20 hours of battery life per charge for repeated classroom use.
  • Compact and Lightweight: Measures 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.6 in (3.8 x 3.8 x 1.5 cm) and weighs only 0.6 oz (17 g).
  • 3D Print File Included: Optional sensor sled file provided via email after purchase for teachers with access to 3D printing.

Note: The PocketLab® Voyager 2 Sensor is not eligible for the 20% educator discount.

Overview

The PocketLab® Voyager 2 Sensor transforms the way students engage with science and engineering concepts. This multi-sensor device combines 14 measurement capabilities into one handheld unit, making it easy for students to gather, visualize, and interpret data during classroom or field experiments. From measuring acceleration and angular velocity to monitoring temperature, light, and humidity, Voyager 2 helps students connect theory to practice in exciting and memorable ways.

Engaging STEM Experiences

Voyager 2 allows educators to design hundreds of experiments that build problem-solving skills and scientific curiosity. Its enhanced rangefinder, faster data rates, improved accuracy, and quaternion orientation measurements open new possibilities for lessons on motion, forces, and energy. During close-range classroom experiments, students can stream live data via Bluetooth. For rocket launches or long-range investigations, data is stored onboard and downloaded later for analysis in PocketLab Notebook.

3D Printed Sled File Included

To support classroom rocketry and engineering projects, a 3D print file for an optional Voyager 2 sensor sled is included by email after purchase. The sled keeps the sensor securely positioned inside a rocket’s payload section, preventing movement or vibration during flight. The sled itself is not included and must be printed separately using a standard 3D printer. It is designed to fit BT-65 body tubes, making it compatible with rockets such as the Green Eggs, Mayhem, and Orbitron. Educators without access to a printer can simply secure the sensor with foam, wadding, or another suitable material.

Easy Classroom Integration

Voyager 2 works seamlessly with the free PocketLab Notebook platform, allowing teachers to collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple student devices. Data can be saved, graphed, and shared, making it an ideal tool for collaborative projects, lab reports, and inquiry-based learning. Compatible with Chromebooks, iPads, and most computers, Voyager 2 fits perfectly into modern classroom technology environments.

Durable, Portable, and Budget-Friendly

Built to last, Voyager 2 features a rechargeable battery that provides up to 20 hours of use per charge and a protective case for storage between lessons. The compact sensor measures 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.6 in (3.8 x 3.8 x 1.5 cm) and weighs only 0.6 oz (17 g), making it easy to transport and ideal for both indoor and outdoor investigations.

Note: The PocketLab® Voyager 2 Sensor is not eligible for the 20% educator discount.
