In The Classroom

The Pro Series II™ So Long is built for classrooms and programs ready to move beyond the basics and into true high-altitude exploration. As a two stage rocket, it introduces students to more advanced rocketry concepts including staging, thrust sequencing, and flight stability at extreme altitudes.

Reaching up to 3,600 feet, this rocket allows learners to visualize and analyze flight in a way that smaller rockets simply cannot match. It creates opportunities for deeper discussions around physics, engineering design, and real-world aerospace applications.

Payload Capabilities That Bring Lessons to Life

One of the most exciting features of the So Long is its large payload section. This opens the door for meaningful student experiments, whether measuring altitude, tracking environmental data, or testing small design concepts during flight.

Instead of just launching a rocket, students become active participants in the scientific process. They can plan experiments, collect data, and evaluate results, turning each launch into a complete STEM learning cycle.

Built for High Performance and Reliability

The So Long combines thoughtful engineering with durable materials to ensure consistent performance flight after flight. Laser cut balsa fins provide precision and stability, while the streamlined design supports efficient, high-altitude launches.

Its rugged construction makes it well suited for repeated classroom use, giving educators confidence that each build and launch will deliver reliable results while reinforcing proper building techniques.

High Visibility Recovery for Real World Learning

At extreme altitudes, recovery becomes just as important as launch. The So Long uses dual bright orange streamers that are easy to track against the sky, helping students follow the rocket throughout descent and improving recovery success.

This visibility adds another layer of engagement, allowing students to observe descent patterns, discuss recovery systems, and understand the full lifecycle of a rocket flight from launch to landing.

An Engaging Build for Advanced Students

With its sleek black, white, and orange design and detailed finishing process, the So Long offers a rewarding build experience that reinforces precision, patience, and craftsmanship. Applying decals and completing the final finish gives students a sense of ownership and pride in their work.

For educators and program leaders, this rocket represents more than a project. It is a complete advanced rocketry experience that challenges students, deepens understanding, and creates lasting excitement around STEM learning.

First 2 stage rocket

Kit was well engineered and a fun build. Launched with F-15 motors and it did what Estes predicted. I have renamed the rocket from "So Long" to "So High". Good job!
