Gone but not forgotten

My son, Alex (13) built the rocket himself, and last Saturday we took it to the monthly WOOSH launch in Johnson Creek, Wis. I'm not sure what engine Alex used in the launch, but we got more altitude than I was expecting, which unfortunately meant the wind got a hold of the copter part of the rocket. While we recovered the launch stage, the rotor section disappeared over a tree line and we were unable to recover it.

This is my grandsons favorite rocket to watch, he enjoys the dual recovery system.
